We can film video for documentaries and all types of events including dance shows, bands & theatre performances. We normally film documentary footage using our handheld Sony Z1 video camera and our full size Sony DSR-250P video camera is more suitable for recording theatre or providing live AV feeds for conferences.
Our standard rates for a camera operator and equipment are (tapes are not included):
£120 for a half day (up to 4 hours).
£200 for a full day (up to 8 hours).
Extra hours are charged at £25 per hour.
The above prices include up to 20 miles of car travel. Additional miles are charged at 40p per mile. Additional costs may be incurred for public transport, parking charges or hotels.
We recommend using professional tapes, to minimise the risk of drop outs, the tape options are:
£12.50 each for professional Digital Master tapes for the Sony Z1. (40 mins DVCAM or 60 mins DV or HDV modes)
£2.50 each for consumer grade tapes for the Sony Z1, if you prefer. (40 mins DVCAM or 60 mins DV or HDV modes)
£23.00 each for Sony professional DVCAM tapes for the Sony DSR-250P. (3 hours DVCAM)
