This is the Health and Safety Policy of Performance Services:
to provide adequate control of the health and safety risks arising from our work activities.
to consult with all other employees, self-employed persons, contractors and members of production teams on matters affecting their and our health & safety.
to provide and maintain safe equipment.
to ensure safe handling and use of substances, where necessary.
to provide information, instruction and supervision for ourselves and anybody who works with us.
to prevent accidents and cases of work-related ill health.
to maintain safe and healthy working conditions.
to review and revise this policy as necessary at regular intervals.

Health and Safety Training
Oliver Smith of Performance Services holds a current Production Skills Passport from BBC Training & Development and has completed the following health & safety courses:

Oliver Smith has an Enhanced Disclosure CRB Certificate.
Risk Assessments
The Client or Producer of the production is responsible for overall safety. It is expected that the client/producer/director has carried out an initial plan and all significant hazards and risks have been considered and documented. Clear guidance and information on all health and safety matters must be passed on to Performance Services, in good time, to enable precautionary measures to be adopted. Co-operation between members of the team is required to eliminate risks where possible and enable them to comply with statutory provisions.
If appropriate, Performance Services will undertake a risk assessment of the work we are responsible for. Oliver Smith has completed risk management training with BBC Training & Development.
Risk Assessments will be reviewed when the work activity changes.
Portable Appliance (PAT) Testing of Equipment
All our mains powered equipment is regularly PAT tested in-house and Oliver Smith has a Certificate of Competence for In-Service Inspection & Testing of Electrical Equipment issued by Portable Appliance Safety Services Ltd.
