Coverage of your Special Day
We film as discreetly as possible in a ‘fly on the wall’ style to avoid getting in the way or making camera shy guests feel uncomfortable.
We offer one package with no hidden extra’s starting at the ceremony venue. We normally find filming from 1 hour before the ceremony to 10pm is sufficient although we are flexible.
We will film:
• the arrival of your guests, the groom and the bridal party.
• the ceremony (a radio mic* clipped to the groom’s jacket is used to capture the vows clearly).
• your guests and the photo’s being taken after the ceremony.
• the receiving line.
• the speeches (a radio mic* can be placed on the top table to help capture the speeches clearly).
• the cake cutting.
• the 1st dance.
• some dancing to the disco or band, usually until 10pm..
(*Please note: The use of radio microphones is dependant on local conditions, if the church or other venue also uses radio microphones then we ideally need to know their frequencies in advance).
We always carry a small backup High Definition video camera, just in case.
Booking
Whenever possible, for local weddings, our friendly cameraman, who has an Enhanced Disclosure CRB certificate, would like to meet couples personally to discuss all the wedding details and attend any rehearsals (subject to availability). A non-refundable booking fee of £150 will secure us for your special day with the balance to be paid (cleared funds) by 10 days before the ceremony. Once we have the booking fee we will purchase all necessary Copyright Licences (to comply with copyright laws) and we can then supply a copy of the MCPS Licence for the church or venue if they require one. As an Associate member of the Institute Of Videography we use IOV approved contracts which provide access to their free Arbitration Service.
Final DVD
We have an industry standard Apple Final Cut Studio HD edit suite running on a Mac Pro to edit your video. 1 copy of the DVD will be presented in a luxury white soft padded book style case for the Bride & Groom and the other 4 copies will be presented in high quality white plastic cases with a choice of embossed wording on the front (subject to availability).
We can include your choice of background music on the DVD or we can select suitable music for you (we have over 6,000 tracks available in our CD collection). We aim to deliver an initial edit of the full DVD for approval 2 - 3 weeks after the wedding.
Other Information
In most churches we will be restricted by the priest on where we can place the video camera, filming from the back can sometimes work out better. Unfortunately there are also a few venues which won’t allow the wedding ceremony to be filmed so please check with the venue when you book.
Churches will usually charge a fee for allowing you to have your wedding service filmed. Individual churches set their own fee so they can vary significantly. We have seen fees as low as £15 and as high as £200 so please check with the church when you are arranging the wedding (you will be responsible for paying this fee to the church and we won’t be allowed to film if it hasn’t been paid).

We can choose some suitable music for you but please let us know if there are any particular tracks you would like us to try and include (or exclude) in your film or edited highlights. The following are a few suggestions:
